Cabling, fiber and equipment rooms

The design starts before the equipment is mounted.

JMB plans cabling, fiber connectivity, network cabinets, and equipment-room work alongside the systems they will support. The physical installation is part of the project, not an afterthought.

Discuss your project

Build the physical layout around the way the site works.

Where are the work areas and access points? What connects the buildings? Where will the switches and servers sit? How will the next technician trace a connection without dismantling the rack?

Jaen can develop the layout, scope the materials and installation work, coordinate the delivery resources, and configure the equipment connected to it.

Physical work within an IT project.

Cabling and fiber planning

Cable routes, endpoint requirements, patching, fiber links, optics, labeling, and the testing and records included in the scope.

Racks and communications spaces

Cabinets, equipment placement, cable management, service access, network power requirements, and room to maintain the installation.

Relocations and cutovers

Moving equipment rooms or live infrastructure with a plan for temporary connections, staging, service interruption, and verification.

The test method should be stated in the proposal.

Wire-map and continuity checks are not the same service as certification-level testing. The proposal should identify the installed media, required test method, test records, and any specialist provider.

Electrical, construction, and other regulated work are assigned to appropriately qualified providers. JMB’s project scope distinguishes its engineering and coordination from separate trade work.

Opening or moving a business location?

Bring the floor plan and the business requirements to the conversation. We will identify the installation work and the infrastructure that needs to follow it.
