Business phone systems & unified communications

Business phones engineered as part of the network—not installed in isolation.

JMB designs, migrates, integrates, and manages business phone systems with the switching, PoE, VLAN, QoS, firewall, internet, and failover decisions required for reliable voice.

The complete voice path

A cloud phone system is only as dependable as everything beneath it.

Dropped calls, one-way audio, poor quality, and unreliable handsets are often network problems presented as phone problems. JMB evaluates the entire voice path—from carrier and cloud platform through firewall, circuits, switching, cabling, and the endpoint.

The result is a practical communications system built around how the business answers calls, routes customers, supports remote employees, and remains reachable during a circuit or site failure.

What the work covers

A practical path from risk to a supportable environment.

01

VoIP & cloud phone systems

Platform evaluation, system design, licensing, handset selection, deployment, administration, and lifecycle planning.

02

Call flow design

Auto attendants, hunt groups, queues, schedules, voicemail, forwarding, emergency routing, and after-hours behavior aligned with real operations.

03

Number porting & vendors

Carrier coordination, number inventories, porting plans, validation, escalation, and controlled cutovers with clear ownership.

04

Teams calling integration

Microsoft Teams voice planning and integration when it fits the organization’s Microsoft 365 strategy and user workflow.

05

Voice-ready networks

PoE switching, voice VLANs, QoS, firewall policy, bandwidth, cabling, DHCP, DNS, and endpoint configuration designed together.

06

Multi-location resilience

Consistent dialing, centralized management, remote users, office moves, redundant circuits, failover, and survivability planning across sites.

When to call

The phone system is creating friction for customers and employees.

  • Calls drop, break up, delay, or produce one-way audio
  • Call routing no longer matches departments, schedules, or locations
  • No one owns the carrier, phone platform, firewall, and network together
  • An office move or multi-site migration needs a controlled cutover
  • The current platform is expensive, unsupported, or difficult to administer

Common questions

Straight answers before the first call.

Does JMB provide the phone carrier service?

JMB is not positioned as a carrier. JMB provides vendor-neutral design, implementation, migration, integration, administration, and technical ownership while coordinating the selected carrier or platform provider.

Can you keep our existing phone numbers?

Usually, provided the current carrier records and ownership are correct and the receiving provider supports the numbers. JMB inventories the numbers and coordinates a controlled porting plan rather than assuming portability.

Can phones work if an internet circuit fails?

Resilience depends on the platform and architecture. Options can include secondary internet, SD-WAN, mobile or alternate routing, cloud call-flow changes, and documented outage procedures.

Can you support multiple offices and remote employees?

Yes. Multi-location dialing, centralized call flow, remote users, voice VLANs, QoS, security, and failover can be designed as one system.

Direct access. Senior judgment.

Start with the current platform, phone numbers, locations, call flow, carrier contracts, network, and the problems employees or callers experience.
